PERFORMANCES & NETWORKING
In addition to the speakers, you will enjoy various performers - local poets, singers, & dancers. We haven't forgotten about networking, join your fellow attendees for virtual networking opportunities all while listening to the latest music by a local DJ.
VIRTUAL TRIBUTE
We are creating a visual compilation of Washington DC - past and present. We will start with a virtual visit of the Smithsonian's exhibit Twelve Years that Shook and Shaped Washington: 1963-1975. This exhibit was researched, developed, and produced by the Smithsonian Anacostia Community Museum. Funded in part by the University of the District of Columbia and the Max and Victoria Dreyfus Foundation. We will then end the tribute with a current look at present day Washington DC as we create history with the Black Lives Matter protests.
TED Women2020
We will stream portions of the Official TED Women 2020 Conference (market rate $450.00 US). The theme this year is Fearless! This is an uncertain time. And yet, amid the physical, cultural and economic challenges affronting us at every level – from personal to global – now is the time to engage. At TEDWomen 2020, we will call upon our collective fearlessness to create a global step forward together. In this moment, diversity of ideas is more important than ever. As such, in collaboration with an incredible group of TEDx organizers, we'll celebrate and amplify the most interesting, dynamic, multi-dimensional ideas - — from Lagos, Nigeria, Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, Montreal, Canada, Colombo, Sri Lanka, and Sydney, Australia.
